Eric Warmoth, Deputy Political Director of State & National Development
Eric was born and raised in the Bay Area, and is now returning to Northern California to join SGR as Deputy Political Director of State and National Development.
He was most recently the Southern California Finance Director for Katie Porter’s Senate campaign, where he oversaw all Southern California events, meetings, and major donor relationships.
Prior to Katie Porter’s campaign, he was an Assembly Fellow in Sacramento for Assemblymember Chris Ward. He staffed 3 bills that were signed into law and 1 constitutional amendment, ACA 13. ACA 13 was placed on the November 2024 ballot after passing both the State Assembly and State Senate with a 2/3 vote just 4 weeks after being introduced.
Eric serves as an Assembly District-elected delegate for the California Democratic Party. He is also the elected Treasurer of the California Democratic Party’s Progressive Caucus. Eric co-founded Project Super Bloom PAC in 2021 to create a pathway for more students to get involved in state legislative campaigns via paid opportunities. Project Super Bloom helped elect 6 new California State Assemblymembers and State Senators in the 2022 cycle.
Eric received his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Analysis and Public Policy from Claremont McKenna College. During college, he interned at national fundraising firm Left Rising, the California Environmental Justice Alliance, and Candace Valenzuela’s congressional campaign in Texas. He got his start in politics as a climate organizer on campus, founding a chapter of the national Sunrise Movement to generate political momentum behind renewable energy and climate justice policies.
