Stefanie G. Roumeliotes, CEO of SGR Consulting, is a senior strategist, high-caliber fundraiser, and seasoned political operative. For nearly two decades, Stefanie has committed her career to advancing progressive political candidates and causes on the local, statewide, and national level. Recognized nationally as a leader in her field, Stefanie has established an admirable reputation for delivering unmatched results to the high-level political campaigns and non-profit organizations that she manages.
Stefanie founded her firm SGR Consulting, of which she currently serves as CEO, in 2004. SGR Consulting, a San Francisco-based firm, specializes in providing strategic fundraising and development services to political campaigns and non-profit organizations. Under Stefanie's leadership, SGR Consulting has raised nearly one billion dollars for its numerous clients, which have included President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and California Governor Gavin Newsom.
Stefanie has led SGR Consulting to the forefront of the field through her expertise in identifying new growth opportunities, maximizing the investor pool, and building successful partnerships for all of her clients. Stefanie’s deep relationships in the region have enabled SGR Consulting to build strong connections between the private sector and stakeholders across California. Stefanie is now committed to building up a new generation of strategists that can play a significant role in helping elevate the political candidates and non-profit organizations that will continue to work for progress and change.
Stefanie began her career serving as the Northwestern Finance Director for Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign for president of the United States, where she led a record-breaking fundraising effort for the region. This catapulted Stefanie’s strategic development career in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
She has since served as the strategic development and finance consultant for several national organizations and elected officials. Her portfolio includes, but is not limited to, the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), Democratic Governors Association (DGA), United Nations Foundation, William Jefferson Clinton Foundation, the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), FWD.us, Futures Without Violence, California Democratic Party, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, Governor Gavin Newsom, Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis, late San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, San Francisco District Attorney Brooke Jenkins, and San Francisco Supervisor Catherine Stefani.
Over the last decade, SGR Consulting has played an integral role in the success of many civic and state-wide bonds and initiatives that have unlocked millions of dollars in government funding that has benefited the community at large.
Stefanie currently serves on the Board of TogetherSF, an organization that provides volunteer and engagement opportunities for San Francisco residents. Stefanie was appointed by the late San Francisco Mayor Edwin Lee as Chair of the San Francisco-Thessaloniki Sister City Association in 2017 and served until 2023. The San Francisco city organization is comprised of a group of private citizens who pursue sister city activities important to them including municipal, business, trade, educational and cultural exchanges.
Stefanie was the 2021 Success Honoree of Dress for Success, an organization which helps women achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and development tools that help women thrive. Stefanie remains deeply committed to empowering women in the professional world.
Stefanie is a native to the San Francisco Bay Area, a UCLA graduate, a proud Greek-American, and a mother to young twins.

Marisa McCarthy, Senior Political Director of Local, State, and National Development
Marisa is a fifth generation San Franciscan with experience in political communications, strategic planning, and campaign management.
Marisa has worked for a wide range of elected leaders in Washington D.C. and California, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Senator Alex Padilla, Congresswoman Anna Eshoo, Congresswoman Jackie Speier, and Mayor London Breed.
In 2018, Marisa joined a Congressional campaign as a field organizer in rural Virginia for Democratic nominee Vangie Williams. There she managed a large network of volunteers and organized and led campaign events.
Post-midterm election, Marisa began working in the United States Senate. For three years, she worked for then-Senator Kamala Harris and Senator Alex Padilla. Marisa started off as a Staff Assistant and worked her way up to Deputy Press Secretary over the course of her time in the Senate. In both offices, Marisa led the communications teams in writing press releases, managing social media accounts, and pitching reporters on various letters and legislation. She did all this during pivotal moments in our country’s history, including impeachment, Supreme Court nomination hearings, the COVID-19 pandemic, and police reform protests.
In August 2021, Marisa moved back home to San Francisco for graduate school. While in school, Marisa worked on various local San Francisco campaigns and initiatives before joining SGR Consulting.
Marisa received her bachelor’s in Political Science and History from Loyola Marymount University and her master’s in Public Administration from the University of San Francisco. At Loyola Marymount, Marisa had various internships in both the United States House of Representatives and Senate, where she began her career in politics.

Maddie Turner, Associate Coordinator of Communications and Development
Maddie was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and comes from a long lineage of San Franciscans.
Maddie got her start in politics in 2018 when she served as an intern to Congressman Mark DeSaulnier in his Walnut Creek district office. Additionally, during 2020, Maddie acted as an Advocacy and Outreach Intern at the Trust Women Foundation. She supported their virtual fundraising efforts.
Maddie has conducted extensive research into Detroit’s policing history and policies. She has published her own report on precinct violence during the Civil Rights Era. She applied this knowledge in her internship at the San Francisco Department of Police Accountability where she aided active investigations into police misconduct.
Maddie interned at Evinco Strategies, a full-service political consulting firm through the American Association of Political Consultants Internship Program. She supported the digital, general consulting, and finance teams and worked with various clients including local candidates and nonprofit organizations.
Maddie received her bachelor’s in Political Science with a minor in History of Law and Policy from the University of Michigan. While at school, she was active in College Democrats, helping turn Michigan blue in the 2020 election.
Following graduation, Maddie moved to Teruel, Spain to teach English and American Culture to both high school students and adults. She then moved back home to enter the San Francisco political community.

Eric Warmoth, Deputy Political Director of State & National Development
Eric was born and raised in the Bay Area, and is now returning to Northern California to join SGR as Deputy Political Director of State and National Development.
He was most recently the Southern California Finance Director for Katie Porter’s Senate campaign, where he oversaw all Southern California events, meetings, and major donor relationships.
Prior to Katie Porter’s campaign, he was an Assembly Fellow in Sacramento for Assemblymember Chris Ward. He staffed 3 bills that were signed into law and 1 constitutional amendment, ACA 13. ACA 13 was placed on the November 2024 ballot after passing both the State Assembly and State Senate with a 2/3 vote just 4 weeks after being introduced.
Eric serves as an Assembly District-elected delegate for the California Democratic Party. He is also the elected Treasurer of the California Democratic Party’s Progressive Caucus. Eric co-founded Project Super Bloom PAC in 2021 to create a pathway for more students to get involved in state legislative campaigns via paid opportunities. Project Super Bloom helped elect 6 new California State Assemblymembers and State Senators in the 2022 cycle.
Eric received his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Analysis and Public Policy from Claremont McKenna College. During college, he interned at national fundraising firm Left Rising, the California Environmental Justice Alliance, and Candace Valenzuela’s congressional campaign in Texas. He got his start in politics as a climate organizer on campus, founding a chapter of the national Sunrise Movement to generate political momentum behind renewable energy and climate justice policies.

Graham Derfner, Deputy Political Director of State and National Development
Graham Derfner is a native New Yorker and graduate of Trinity School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing from Northwestern University.
In 2018, Graham joined the JB for Governor campaign as the field organizer for Rock Island County, a role that culminated in coordinating a Get Out the Vote effort of 100 canvass shifts and 3,300 doors knocked on Election Day. He then returned to Chicago to lead the field operation for Marianne Lalonde’s 46th ward aldermanic race in the 2019 municipal elections, helping increase vote share from 18.1% to 49.9% between the general and run-off elections.
Later that year, Graham joined the digital organizing team at Biden for President in the Philadelphia HQ. He finished the 2020 election cycle at the DNC, working to organize the largest distributed calls program in political history - 88 million calls to voters in sixteen battleground states to help elect President Biden and Vice President Harris.
Before joining SGR, he spent more than two years at the White House in the Office of Presidential Correspondence. As Associate Director of Engagement, he managed department staff to respond to Americans’ concerns, amplify meaningful letters to principals, invite the general public to White House events, and create content for social media. He also led all policy letter template drafting and worked closely with White House stakeholders to clear language and ensure consistent messaging.
